Embark on a mystical journey into the heart of the Kitzsteinhorn
On the TOP OF SALZBURG panorama platform, you meet your guide – a real ranger from the Hohe Tauern National Park. Together, you head into the mountain. With every step through the mystical, 360-m-long National Park Gallery info tunnel, you feel the glacier’s heartbeat. At six stations, the ranger gives fascinating insights into the history, technology, natural treasures, flora and fauna of the Kitzsteinhorn and the Hohe Tauern National Park. At the end of the tunnel, a breathtaking highlight awaits you: The National Park Gallery panorama platform gives a spectacular view into the untouched mountain world of the National Park. To the south, you can even see the Grossglockner – Austria’s highest mountain.
Top tip: Get in the mood for the tour and visit Austria’s highest-situated movie theater Cinema 3000: The film “Kitzsteinhorn – THE NATURE” presents Kitzsteinhorn’s unique adventure, plant and animal world with stunning footage. The cinema is located on the ground floor of the summit station, the movie is showing all day.

The town market will also take place in 2025 every Friday from 21 March to 19 December from 8 am to 1 pm In September there will always be live music!

GROSSGLOCKNER BERGPREIS 2025

Together, we want to experience a special Vespa event in the style of the 60s and 70s at a high level and take on the challenge of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and the Felbertauern Road with many highlights.

Friday, 30 Mai 2025 – Participants only
- 12–2 pm Check-in at the Freizeitzentrum Zell am See (Steinergasse 1)
- 3–4 pm Get-together by the lake (Esplanade - MS Schmittenhöhe) with parking directly on the Esplanade
Saturday, 31 Mai 2025 – Exciting for spectators
- 8 am Line-up of the Vespas, Photo Point – Congress Square, Zell am See city center
- 9 am Le Mans start for the Grossglockner Hill Climb in two groups (2-minute intervals)
- Re-start in Ferleiten
- Precision run at Edelweissspitze
Each participant will receive the detailed program and route plan at check-in!
