Playfully learning the basics of MTB trail riding
In this workshop, professional mountain bikers introduce kids and teens aged eight years and older to the world of trail riding – covering everything from proper braking over smooth shifting to perfect cornering techniques. After a dry run at the Kaprun Center, participants take the MK Maiskogelbahn to the top station. Here, the access point to the Maiskogel Trail awaits you: With its wide and tight berms, waves and small jumps, the 3.7-km-long run is ideal for putting what has been learned into practice.
Top tip: For adults, the Trail Tuesday – a professional workshop on ideal MTB downhill techniques – takes place every Tuesday at the Maiskogel.
- Meeting Point: in front of the Kaprun Center cash desk (MK Maiskogelbahn valley station – Kitzsteinhornplatz 1a, 5710 Kaprun
- Duration: approx. 3 hours
- Requirements: balance and safe riding on flat terrain
- Mandatory gear: Mountainbike, helmet, gloves, knee & elbow pads, back protector (optional); rental equipment available at Bründl Sports
- Costs: € 30 (lift ticket and rental equipment not included)

Embark on a mystical journey into the heart of the Kitzsteinhorn
On the TOP OF SALZBURG panorama platform, you meet your guide – a real ranger from the Hohe Tauern National Park. Together, you head into the mountain. With every step through the mystical, 360-m-long National Park Gallery info tunnel, you feel the glacier’s heartbeat. At six stations, the ranger gives fascinating insights into the history, technology, natural treasures, flora and fauna of the Kitzsteinhorn and the Hohe Tauern National Park. At the end of the tunnel, a breathtaking highlight awaits you: The National Park Gallery panorama platform gives a spectacular view into the untouched mountain world of the National Park. To the south, you can even see the Grossglockner – Austria’s highest mountain.
Top tip: Get in the mood for the tour and visit Austria’s highest-situated movie theater Cinema 3000: The film “Kitzsteinhorn – THE NATURE” presents Kitzsteinhorn’s unique adventure, plant and animal world with stunning footage. The cinema is located on the ground floor of the summit station, the movie is showing all day.

TriZell Aquathlon

A dynamic endurance sports competition that combines swimming and running.
After swimming laps in the crystal-clear Zeller Lake, the participants will head to the running course along the shore of the lake.
Participants start with a swim, followed by a run that requires both endurance and versatility. This mix of two disciplines offers an exciting challenge for athletes of all levels and ensures a varied race.
