Every Wednesday, our mountain guide accompanies you on a snowshoe hike from the summit of the Schmittenhöhe via the high-altitude promenade to the Sonnkogel.
The winter hiking trail offers impressive views of the snow-covered mountains and Lake Zell. The destination of the hike is the Schrambachkopf, where the artwork ‘Opfertisch or a Halleluja’ is located.
Afterwards, we descend together to the Sonnkogel Restaurant and the Sonnkogelbahn.
We recommend sturdy footwear and warm winter clothing for the hike. Snowshoes and poles can be hired on site for a small fee.
- Meeting point: 9 am at the Schmittenhöhebahn InfoCenter valley station
- Hire fee for snowshoes & poles: € 6
- The hike is free with a valid cable car ticket
- Registration only via the online shop, by 12 noon the day before at the latest!
Laser Biathlon-Test tour

After a small round of cross-country skiing, you then have to prove your accuracy. An absolutely harmless laser sports gun is shot at a biathlon target.
- Biathlon test-tour is from 2 pm to 3 pm
- Experience an introduction to the world of biathlon-no prior knowledge required

Exercise, relaxation and nature experiences await you on our guided hiking tour. It is the best time to take a deep breath, relax and recharge your batteries. As a reward, "Enlightened", we will then return to the meeting point along a different route.
